Childhood Memory of the Issue

Logo - by Jeremy Zilarby Kent Roberts

When I was in first grade, I ate the cover of my phonics book. I did it to get attention. To be honest, I didn’t really eat the whole thing, but that’s how the rumor went. And that’s really all that mattered to me. I became known far and wide in the halls of Woodlands Elementary School in Huron, Ohio, for that act. I think the cover was green. Yeah, it was green I’m pretty sure. It didn’t taste too bad.
